Manalapan Home Burglarized While Residents Away

Two Manalapan cars were also burglarized in late June, police said.

Manalapan police are investigating a home burglary as well as a car burglary and attempted car burglary. 

A Galahad Drive home was broken into while the residents were away for an extended period of time, police said. After someone reported that the home’s front door was left open police responded to the home and discovered that the home had been burglarized. However, nothing was removed from the home, according to police. 

Someone attempted to break into a car parked on Saint Andrews Place on June 20, police said, but were unsuccessful. The owner of the car, a 63-year-old man from Manalapan, contacted police about the attempted burglary. There were two big scratches on the rear passenger door and the lock on the front passenger door was tampered with.

On June 18, a car parked on Hillcrest Road was burglarized and items were stolen. The owner, a 22-year-old Manalapan man, told police that his wallet, which contained $200 and several bank cards, was stolen. The victim told police that the car was locked and there was no signs of forced entry, according to police.
