Manalapan Man Arrested on Burglary Attempt Charges

A Manalapan man reportedly attempted to burglarize a Livingston Lane home.

Manalapan resident Paul Pawlik, 21, was arrested by Manalapan Township Police on Wednesday, Dec. 26 for allegedly attempting to burglarize a Livingston Lane home.

The home which Pawlik allegedly attempted to burglarize is only several homes down from where he resides.

Pawlik was charged with criminal attempt for trying to force entry through a rear window of the home; he was also charged with criminal mischief for damaging the rear window screen and frame during the attempt, arrest warrants indicated. The damage to the screen and window frame is valued at $400.

Pawlik is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $10,000 bail with a 10 percent bond option, according to the Monmouth County Sheriffs Office.

Pawlik’s initial appearance in front of Judge James E. Berube Jr. is scheduled for January 14, 2013 at 9 a.m.
