Manalapan Man Arrested on Heroin Possession Charge

The man was in possession of a bundle of heroin, police reported.

Manalapan resident Paulo Luz, 30, was arrested by Manalapan Police on Thursday, Jan. 10 for allegedly being in possession of heroin.

Luz was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance as he was found to be in possession of a bundle of heroin labeled “RGIII”, according to the arrest warrant issued by the Manalapan Police Department.

He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institution in Freehold for being in default of $2,500 bail.

Luz’s first appearance in front of Judge James M. Newman will be held on Jan. 21 at 9 a.m.
