Manalapan Man Charged With Theft, Aggravated Assault and Criminal Mischief

The man allegedly struck an individual with brass knuckles and damaged a car.

Samuel Norman, of Manalapan, was arrested twice this summer for allegedly committing theft, assault, and criminal mischief, according to an arrest warrant issued by the .

Norman, 19, was initially arrested on June 16 for reportedly selling jewelry that had been reported stolen at Sonny’s Jewelry Store in Marlboro.

On July 28, Norman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and criminal mischief. According to the arrest warrant, Norman attempted to strike an individual with a pair of brass knuckles while sitting in someone's car.

Norman reportedly threw the brass knuckles through the rear passenger window of the vehicle and struck a different victim in her upper thigh. Norman also reportedly damaged the front passenger side window of the car while attempting to strike the victim in the front passenger seat, the police report indicated.

Norman is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $40,000 bail, according to MCCI.
