Manalapan Man Indicted on Jewelry Theft and Trafficking Charges

Samuel Norman has been indicted for allegedly stealing jewelry and selling it to a jewelry store.

Manalapan resident Samuel Norman, 19, was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury for allegedly stealing jewelry and selling it to a jewelry store in Marlboro Township.

According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Norman stole jewelry valued at over $500 from a Marlboro resident and then sold the jewelry the same day.

An arrest warrant issued by the Manalapan Police Department reported that Norman sold the jewelry to Sonny’s Jewelry Store.

Both the theft and the trafficking were done on June 15, 2012; Norman was arrested by Manalapan Police on June 16.

Norman was indicted on one count of receiving stolen property and one count  of fencing, or trafficking of stolen property.

He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $40,750 bail.
