Manalapan Man Killed When Tractor Overturns

Michael Confessore died on Friday after a tractor he was riding flipped over, police said.

A Manalapan man was killed on Friday, May 17 when a farm tractor he was riding flipped over, police said.

Michael Confessore, 49, was helping a friend remove trees and stumps from his Gravel Hill Road farm by transporting them with an older model of a Massy Ferguson farm tractor. The train of the tractor was locked onto the trees causing it to flip over as Confessore was sitting in the driver's seat, according to police. Confessore was reportedly killed instantly.

The tragic accident happened at around 2 p.m. on Friday. Paramedics and police quickly arrived at the scene where Confessore was pronounced dead. This incident is being investigated by the Manalapan Police Department.

A funeral for Confessore will be held at St. Thomas More Church at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 22.
