Manalapan Van Stolen, Later Recovered by Police

The stolen van is being processed for evidence in this ongoing investigation.

A 2010 white Ford Econoline van was stolen and later recovered by the Manalapan Police Department.

The vehicle was reportedly stloen from a Park Avenue office complex on Monday, Jan. 21. The victim, a 38-year-old communications technician from Manalapan, told police that the van is valued at approximately $20,000.

While patrolling Iron Ore Road on Jan. 22, Ptl. Phillip Accatatta found a vehicle matching the description of the stolen van. Accatatta found the van unattended and parked in the rear parking lot of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 9. The locking mechanism on the passenger side of the van was damaged, according to police.

Police removed the vehicle and later processed it for evidence by a Manalapan Police Department detective. This case is still under investigation.
