Manalapan Woman Allegedly Causes Damage to 37 Cars

The St. Andrews Place resident allegedly caused damage to 37 cars within Manalapan Township and was indicted on a criminal mischief charge.

Frances Raniere, 63, of Manalapan was indicted by the Monmouth County grand jury this week on one count of criminal mischief for allegedly causing damage to 37 cars within Manalapan Township.

According to the indictment released by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Raniere purposely caused a pecuniary loss in excess of $2,000 to the 37 cars by “purposely or knowingly damaging tangible property”.  The crime occurred on Nov. 11, 2011, according to the indictment.

Regardless of the charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the United States Constitution and state law.
