Mischief Night Escapades Lead to Arrests

Two minors purportedly broke curfew and egged a car; Samuel Norman was arrested for purported drug possession, among other charges.

Two minors were arrested after a routine motor vehicle stop on Old Queens Blvd. in Manalapan at 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 for alleged criminal mischief and curfew violations. The minors were both 17 year-old males, one is a resident of Manalapan and the other hails from Freehold.

Ptl. Daniel Carey of the Manalapan Police Department handled the event and after an investigation it was discerned that the minors had egged a car located on Springhouse Circle.

Both were arrested and later released to the custody of a parent.

Samuel Norman, 18, was also arrested at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 31 as a result of a motor vehicle stop on Old Queens Blvd. Norman, a Manalapan resident, was arrested and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, unclear license plates and a failure to exhibit a driver's license. Ptl. Daniel Carey also handled this incident and made the arrest.
