North Brunswick Man Indicted on Heroin Possession Charge in Manalapan

Patrick Malhotra was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury for alleged drug possession.

A North Brunswick man was indicted by the Monmouth County Grand Jury for reportedly being in possession of heroin in Manalapan.

According to the indictment issued by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, Patrick Malhotra, 24, of North Brunswick, was arrested by Manalapan police on October 10, 2012 for being found in possession of heroin.

On that date, Manalapan police were called to 580 Route 9 North for two individuals who were intoxicated, one of whom was Malhotra. An investigation revealed that Malhotra was in possession of heroin. Malhotra was arrested and charged with drug possession.

On Tuesday, Feb. 19 the grand jury indicted Malhotra on one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, which is a third degree crime.
