Police: Englishtown Man Steals Debit Card, Removes Funds

The suspect allegedly stole the debit card out of the pocketbook of an Englishtown woman.

Francis Cammarano, of Englishtown, was arrested by Englishtown Police on Oct. 12 for allegedly stealing money from an Englishtown woman. According to an arrest report issued by the Englishtown Police Department, Cammarano, 22, used the woman's debit card without permission and removed cash on two separate occasions.

A total of $1,580 was taken out of the PNC ATM machine at the Quik Chek in Englishtown, according to police. Cammarano removed cash on Oct. 1 and Oct. 12.

The debit card was removed from the woman’s pocketbook without her knowledge, police said.

Cammarano was charged with theft by deception and credit card theft. He is currently remanded in Monmouth County Correctional Institute in Freehold in default of $5,000 bail, according to the Monmouth County Sheriffs Office.

His initial appearance in front of Judge John G. Colannino will be held on Oct. 29 at 5 p.m.
