Police: Manalapan Man Had Heroin, Hypodermic Needle in Wegmans

The man allegedly also provided a false identity to police.

Manalapan resident Paul Pawlik, 21, was arrested on Sunday, Jan. 20 and charged with possession of heroin, a hypodermic needle, and providing false information to police.

Ptl. Matthew Meyler of the Manalapan Township Police Department responded to Wegmans shortly after 6 p.m. on Sunday in reference to a suspicious intoxicated man inside of the supermarket.

Pawlik provided the officer with a false identity, but was later correctly identified. He was found to be in possession of heroin and a hypodermic needle, according to police. He was arrested, charged, and released on summonses with a court date of Jan. 28.

. He was charged with criminal attempt for trying to force entry through a rear window of the home and criminal mischief for damaging the rear window screen and frame during the attempt.
