Police: Manalapan Woman Tries to Hit Driver with Car After Accident, Flees Scene

Christina Cali, 21, of Manalapan, was arrested and charged with hit and run and assault by auto.

A 21-year-old Manalapan woman was arrested after an alleged hit and run and assault by auto on Taylors Mills Road near Route 9 on the evening of Monday, April 22, police said. 

Ptl. Dan Carey of the Manalapan Police Department investigated the incident and learned that the driver of the vehicle, Christina Cali, was involved in a motor vehicle crash and attempted to strike the other driver with her vehicle while fleeing the scene.

Cali was arrested and charged with criminal attempt and assault by auto. She was served with a warrant for $1,000 bail and posted it. Cali was then transported to CentraState Medical Center in Freehold for evaluation.
