Police Seek Suspects in Alleged Armed Home Invasion

According to police, as many as five suspects broke into a Red Bank home early Friday morning armed with handguns and proceeded to rob the victims.

Red Bank police are investigating an apparent armed home invasion committed by as many as five men that took place on Tower Hill Drive in the early morning hours Friday.

According to a release from the department, two victims arrived at police headquarters reporting that five men, at least two of whom were carrying handguns, broke into their home in the first block of Tower Hill Drive at around 2 a.m.

According to their statement, the 21-year-old male victim was struck in the head with a handgun while the 20-year-old female victim was pepper sprayed and threatened with a handgun.

Following the invasion, the suspects searched the home for valuables, according to police, and left with a small safe, a watch and two cell phones. The safe contained an unknown sum of money and personal documents.

After the suspects fled from the scene in a white Ford Explorer, the two victims followed in their own vehicle and were able to catch a glimpse at the suspect perpetrators. According to police, the suspects have been described as black males apparently all in their 20s.

Eventually, the victims gave up the chase at Branch Avenue, police said, after it was believed that one of the suspects fired a single shot at the victims' car. They immediately went to the police station to file their report of the incident.

According to a release from the Red Bank Police, the suspected vehicle was later stopped by Keansburg police about two hours later. Keansburg officers found it driven by a female with no male occupants.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Michael Frazee and the .

O.K.....Let me get this straight: 5 Alleged Males (One or all who may be Alleged Females) Broke into an Alleged Home, stole some alleged things with some alleged guns (They might have been toys) and one of the Alleged victims (Allegedly) got hit on the Head. Ahem, the Alleged Victims chase them and see they are allegedly African Americans (But earlier when they were only inches from them they couldn't tell because what, they were dressed like Ninjas?). Then they go to the alleged police (Instead of calling the alleged police in the first place) who then sicked the Keansburg Police on them, Who find that the alleged White Van (Mighty stealthy for a bunch of Ninjas, eh?! ) Was actually Driven By a woman (With no Ninjas in sight). Sounds like a good grade "B" Movie. To the Victims: Buy a shotgun , Take a firearms course from the NRA on Personal Home Defense, keep it near the bed and next time call the police immediately (If you're a "prohibited person" buy a Rottweiler instead). To the Alleged Ninjas: You should know by now that There is no way to keep a secret in Monmouth County. You will get caught eventually and if you have the common sense to give yourselves up without a fight, you may even qualify for a first offenders program (and get trained to be an IT professional!) And at least you will be Alive. Your Obt. Svt. Col. Korn, Chief O’ Mayhem in the Great WW-2 (And the Cold War) Now Chief O’ Security, Sanitation (And the Complaint Dept.) OXOjamm Studios.
