Manalapan police responded to a Blenheim Road residence on Wednesday, Sept. 26 for a report of a physical altercation involving baseball bats.
Upon arrival, police discovered that two men were involved in a fight which included one baseball bat. A woman was also involved in the incident, police said.
Manalapan resident Salvatore Geloso, 56, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose, according to Manalapan Police Department Captain Michael Fountain. His bail was set at $52,000.
Geloso was injured in the fight and transported to CentraState Medical Center for treatment.
Another suspect involved in the altercation, Brandon Barile, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unalwful possession of a weapon, possesion of a weapon for unlawful purpose, possession of under 50 grams of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Barile, 27, of Manalapan, was remanded to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of $32,000 bail. According to current Monmouth County Jail records, he is no longer being housed in the facility.
The third suspect involved in the incident was identified as Danielle Buscarello. Buscarello, 26, is also a Manalapan resident. She was arrested and charged with simple assault and released on her own recognizance.
