Vehicle Theft

A 19-year-old Manalapan woman told police that her unlocked car was entered at some point between midnight and 2 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18. The car was parked in the driveway of her Smithburg Road home. An Apple iPad valued at $350 was stolen. This is currently under investigation.

Stolen Car

A 2000 Silver Infinity I30 was reported stolen to police on Saturday, Feb. 23. The car, valued at $2,500, was taken from one of the guest parking spaces on Amberly Drive between 11 a.m. on Feb. 17 and 7 p.m. on Feb. 22. The owner of the car, a 30-year-old Manalapan woman, was in posession of the keys. This case is under investigation, if anyone has information about the vehicle please contact the police department at 732-446-4300.

Attempted Burglary

Police responded to Chesterbrook Academy on Woodward Road in regards to a burglar alarm activation on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. The building's back door was reportedly oen and fresh pry marks were seen around the locking mechanism and two of the three door hinge pins were removed, police said. The interior of the building was searched, but no one was located. Nothing was removed from the building.
