Several Cars Vandalized in Manalapan

Be sure to eye your car for damage as three cars parked in Manalapan have been vandalized recently.

The Manalapan Police Department has reported several instances of car vandalism in the township.

A 57-year-old woman of Arrowood Road told police that her car was damaged during the overnight hours between April 26 and April 27. The rear view mirrors, rear tail lights, rear bumper, and license plate were all damaged. This incident is pending further investigation by police.

Another Manalapan car was keyed and dented while parked in a lot near the home of the owner on Shinnecock Drive. The 54-year-old victim reported the damage to police on Tuesday, April 23. According to police, no other cars parked within the parking lot were damaged.

A South Amboy man told police that his Honda Pilot was vandalized while parked in the Sleepy’s parking lot on Route 9 North. The front and rear doors on the driver’s side of the car were deliberately scratched, possibly by a key or other sharp object, according to police. This incident also remains under investigation.
