Spurned Visitors Throw Beer Bottles at Resident's Car, Police Say

Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief.

Manalapan Police are looking to identify people who allegedly damaged a 17-year old car on a recent Saturday night, after they were denied entrance into his Barrister Lane home. 

The young man reported the damage on Sunday, April 20. The night before, he told police, he was entertaining some friends when around 11 p.m., about 20 people attempted to come in, but he showed them the door. 

The next morning, he called police to report his car was kicked in and headlights smashed.

The unidentified people caused an estimated $300 worth of damage to the 17-year old's vehicle, specifically by kicking a tail light and throwing beer bottles at the vehicle, police said. This case is under investigation.
