Car Thieves Continue to Make Rounds in Manalapan

Two attempted auto thefts and two car break-ins were reported last week.

Car thefts and break-ins are still occurring within Manalapan, police have reported. Last week, unknown individuals tried to steal two cars while two other vehicles were broken into and various items were removed. Both events happened on the evening of Nov. 11.

Thief or theives entered an unlocked car on Alexandria Drive between 6 p.m. on Friday and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12. A GPS unit, cologne, and two dollars were stolen.

During the same time period, a car on Belle Terre Drive was broken into. This vehicle was also left unlocked. A GPS unit and two cell phone chargers were taken.

Between 6:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12, two 2010 Infinity G37s were attempted to be taken by unknown individuals. The two cars were parked in driveways on Winged Foot Drive. The driver's side locks of each car were damaged in the effort to steal the vehicles.
