Two cars were burglarized during the overnight hours of Nov. 9, according to the Manalapan Police Department. Both vehicles were left unlocked.
Ptl. Phil Accatatta responded to a Jeanine Court home in reference to a burglarized car the morning of Nov. 9. The owner told police that his car was broken into sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 9.
A variety of miscellaneous items were removed from the vehicle including cash and credit cards. The total amount of property stolen from the car was valued at $100, according to police.
Later that morning, Accatatta then responded to an Elisa Court home where another car had been burglarized. The car was broken into sometime between 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 9.
Property stolen from the vehicle, including two GPS devices and a pair of sunglasses, was valued at $350.
Both cases are pending investigation.
Police would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to keep their cars locked at all times, even when parked in the driveway.
