The vehicles were left unlocked, according to police.

Two cars were burglarized during the overnight hours of Nov. 9, according to the Manalapan Police Department. Both vehicles were left unlocked.

Ptl. Phil Accatatta responded to a Jeanine Court home in reference to a burglarized car the morning of Nov. 9. The owner told police that his car was broken into sometime between 11:30 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 8:30 a.m. on Nov. 9.

A variety of miscellaneous items were removed from the vehicle including cash and credit cards. The total amount of property stolen from the car was valued at $100, according to police.

Later that morning, Accatatta then responded to an Elisa Court home where another car had been burglarized. The car was broken into sometime between 2 p.m. on Nov. 8 and 7 a.m. on Nov. 9.

Property stolen from the vehicle, including two GPS devices and a pair of sunglasses, was valued at $350.

Both cases are pending investigation.

Police would like to take this opportunity to remind residents to keep their cars locked at all times, even when parked in the driveway.
