Two Handguns Stolen from Manalapan Home

The Manalapan Police Department is investigating a number of recent thefts:

  • Two handguns were stolen from a Taylor Mills Road home at some point between July and Dec. 31, 2013, according to police. The missing guns were reported to police on Jan. 4 by the owner, a 50-year-old man. Both guns were Smith and Wesson, Model 19 .357 Magnum handgun and Model 39 9MM handgun, police said. Neither of the guns were loaded at the time of their removal. 
  • An 18-year-old  Manalapan woman told police that $270 in cash was removed from her wallet when she gave another 18-year-old woman a ride home. The victim told police that the wallet was returned, but the money is missing. 
  • Over $16,500 worth of jewelry and cash were stolen from a 36-year-old Manalapan woman’s home over the past year. The woman told police that her boyfriend was the culprit. 
All of these incidents are currently under investigation by the Manalapan Police Department. Anyone with information on these thefts may contact police at 732-446-4300.
