Two Non-Residents Arrested for DUI

The Manalapan Township Police Department arrested two people in early September for driving under the influence.

Adam Mizrach, 24, was arrested on Sept. 2 for allegedly driving under the influence and being in possession of the controlled dangerous substance, marijuana, according to a press release issued by the Manalapan Township Police Department.

The Manalapan Police Department were called to a motor vehicle accident on Forest Dr. in Manalapan where a vehicle struck two parked cars, Ptl. Vigneault said in the release. The Englishtown Fire Department and the Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid Squad responded to the scene. 

Mizrach, the driver of the vehicle which struck the parked cars, was allegedly found to be under the influence of a narcotic during an investigation by the police, according to Ptl. Vigneault. Upon further investigation, Mizrach was further charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance, which was marijuana, the release indicated. Mizrach was arrested and released on his own recognizance.

On Sept. 3, the Manalapan Police Department arrested a Robert L. Young Jr. of Lawrenceville and charged him with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and speeding. 

Ptl. O’Brien pulled over Young on his Harley Davidson motorcycle at the intersection of Rt. 33 West and Iron Ore Rd at 1:30 a.m. for traveling 88 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone, a press release issued by the police department said.

Young was released and is scheduled to appear in court, the release stated.
