Christie Scandals: What They're Saying

Here are some publications that have talked about Friday's revelations that Gov. Chris Christie may have actually known about the "Bridgegate" lane closures all along.

New Jersey's largest newspaper, The Star-Ledger, called for Christie's resignation or impeachment if he did, indeed, know about the George Washington Bridge political-payback scheme.

Blah blah blah blah blah...you liberals are so full of hot air.
suz February 01, 2014 at 08:17 PM
disgusted homeowner, your source is a liar. Its a well known fact that Christie was at a NFL dinner in NYC. STOP SPREADING your stupid lies. Nothing else you got???
Fawkes February 01, 2014 at 09:32 PM
suz, If standing against amorality and corruption makes one a liberal, then I guess for the first time I can be proud to call myself a liberal.
marcy February 01, 2014 at 09:44 PM
If you do stand for that.... amorality and corruption you can't be a liberal. Open your eyes.
Brian White February 01, 2014 at 11:20 PM
Sure Fawkes, Liberals are always against corruption (unless it's Obama lying about Healthcare, Benghazi, IRS targeting, NSA spying, Fast and Furious) But aside from that..

Off topic: For all brick boaters the ATLANTIC CITY BOAT SHOW STARTS WEDNESDAY!

Do you people want Corzine or Mcgreevy back ?...
disgusted homeowner February 02, 2014 at 08:19 AM
@suz. my sources will check you out next. Were you next to Christie the whole time at that dinner?? Did you follow him into the crapper???? LOL
letsgetreal February 02, 2014 at 08:38 AM
I think instead of making this a DEM or REP issue....lets hold all the dirty Politicians accountable that includes...Hillary, Christie, and I am a REP and I cant stand what Christie has turned into. I also cannot stomach a Christie Hillary presidential RUN....They both make me sick. CORRUPT PERIOD
suz February 02, 2014 at 08:58 AM
Disgusted homeowner...just trying to point out how lies begin. I wish I was at the dinner with Christie!
Long Time Local Teacher February 02, 2014 at 09:09 AM
Once again, Christie's administration responds to criticism by going on the attack. What a track record - speak up at a public meeting and get threatened and ridiculed, do his bidding and get sacrificed, expose the corruption and get attacked publicly. Enjoy the Superbowl, Christie, but don't go to the game. The boos will disrupt the quarterbacks' audibles!
jerseytomato February 02, 2014 at 09:49 AM
Brian White nails it.
patrick allgor February 02, 2014 at 12:13 PM
Brian does nail it !!!

Look at all the sheeple picking sides. Be it liberal or conservative, everyone is too busy fighting each other on Internet forums to pay attention to what is really wrong with our country. This is exactly the scenario that politicians love and pander to.
Sean Conneamhe February 02, 2014 at 09:01 PM
"Impeach Christie.."
Pete February 02, 2014 at 11:32 PM
You liberals are just jealous that there is not one Democrat in the country that can run a state as efficiently as Christie has. Just who do you want to run for president after that clown Obama leaves? Hillary Benghazi Clinton perhaps…..

Mike Mazzucca February 03, 2014 at 09:22 AM
Thru skewed lens people look at this issue. As if the gov's daily activities are similar to ours. We get a hundred emails he probably gets a couple thousand. We get 2 or 3 dozen phone calls he gets 2 or 3 thousand. My point is, while he will more than likely take the blame in whole or part, he more than likely did not authorize the gwb closing, I don't think he's that stupid. As for holding politicians accountable, good luck. I'd love to see it happen. the interview right before the game, when questioned last night even BO would not answer the question directly about Benghazi. One lies, and the other swears to it, the politician's mantra...
Mac February 03, 2014 at 11:12 AM
@Mike - on this issue I disagree strongly with you - Christie knew for the very reasons you cite - have you ever watched him in action at a town hall campaign event - he checks his cell phone numerous times - if he wasn't such a control freak he would have an assistant deal with calls when he is on stage - giving everything known about this event so far, including that CC may not have directly authorized this in the 100% Christie-style leadership pattern he has set, there is no way he didn't know where and how for the four full days of orange cone twerting in the GWB lanes
jerseytomato February 03, 2014 at 11:14 AM
Mac, Mac, Mac.
Mac February 03, 2014 at 11:48 AM
Mac, Mac, Mac. - Not liberal, not conservative, just a citizen in search of a political party that represents his basic principles and interests as an American citizen. At the moment, the search may very well be in vain.
Mike Mazzucca February 03, 2014 at 02:20 PM
Mac, I could agree with you to some degree, I just can't see CC jeopardizing so many things on something so stupid. There is no benefit to him, or others on the surface. Their is no $$ gain so what was the purpose? If none of the previous I go back to why would he risk it all just to get even with a no name mayor. Probably back room deals going on as we type these posts
Mac February 03, 2014 at 02:40 PM
Mike, more than the mayor for sure - however, in this case, I believe his ego overcame his brain - it really was a great political stunt and I don't think anyone even gave a thought to this situation getting out of hand - since Bid Rig I, Christie has walked on water, all uphill - I truly believe he allowed his ego to get too caught up in his being so successfully untouchable for so many good reasons and he allowed his brain to believe the hard-earned image that he has created as being the ultimate Supreme Soprano - once that burning boardwalk photo-up hero-worship success gets in your blood, one develops a thirst that must be satisfied, even by those that should know better
Steve Lettie Rillieux Owens February 04, 2014 at 04:50 PM
Liberal-Smebral my tookis! Right is right wrong is wrong PERIOD!
suz February 04, 2014 at 05:46 PM
Yes, Steve...but who is right and who is wrong? All depends on who and what you support.
Mrgrumpass February 11, 2014 at 09:16 AM
Isn’t it great that these kinds of stories come out on Fridays and there is no retraction for the weekend, the story festers for the weekend weather it is truth or a lie, this is a typical Dem/Liberal smearing tactic!
