Election 2012: Green and Sutera Re-Elected, Tight Race for K-8 BOE

The unofficial results from Monmouth County are in.

All of the district numbers have been tallied and the unofficial results from the Monmouth County Clerk's Office are reporting that Republican incumbent Ryan Green has been re-elected to a three-year term on the Manalapan Township Committee, beating Democratic challenger Seth Ptasiewicz by an 18.56 percent margin.

Both Englishtown Borough Council Republican incumbents Lori Cooke and Maryanne Krawiec were re-elected to their positions on the dais for three-year terms.

Jennifer Sutera was re-elected as the Manalapan representative of the Freehold Regional High School District beating challenger Gloria Close by a 30.65 percent margin. The term on the board of education is three years.

Two seats were open for the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education where Joanne Schecter came out ahead with 25.21 percent of the vote. According to the unofficial results, Ryan Urgo currently has the second seat with 16.76 percent of the vote.

However, incumbent Annamarie Galante has 16.58 percent of the vote and Brett Rappaport has 16.17 percent of the vote - so the calculation of the mail-in ballots over the next few weeks may change the results.

UPDATE: The tallied votes put Annamarie Galante in the second spot to secure her victory alongside Joanne Schecter.
