Budget Meeting: Board of Chosen Freeholders at Monmouth County Library

(The following information is excerpted from Monmouth County Public Information Office 1/28/11 News Release)

"The Board of Chosen Freeholders has scheduled public budget sessions to gather information from department heads as well as Monmouth County residents...

Evening public information sessions on the budget have been scheduled. The first will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 22 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters in Manalapan, and the second will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 3 at the Eastern Branch Library in Shrewsbury. These sessions will include an overview of the county budget for 2011. 

The 2011 county budget is scheduled to be introduced on Thursday, Feb. 24 at the Board of Chosen Freeholders meeting. There will be a formal public hearing prior to the scheduled budget adoption on Thursday, March 24. 

The public is invited to attend all budget sessions. Public comment will be taken at the evening sessions and at the formal public hearing."
