The New Jersey Board of Public Utilities (BPU) has this public hearing for the purpose of soliciting comments from members of the public, elected officials, representatives of the State's four regulated electric distribution companies (EDCs) and all others regarding the state of preparedness and responsiveness of EDCs prior to, during and after Hurricane Irene.
Governor Christie directed BPU to hold public hearings and to review all facets of the EDCs plans and responses to hurricanes.
