2. Head to Knob Hill Golf Club in Manalapan on Friday at 7 p.m. for . The event is sponsored by New Jersey Craft Beer and the company’s founder, Mike Kivowitz, will answer your beer questions. Enjoy discounted craft beer and a special munchie menu. The beer list includes Abita Purple Haze, Unibroue La Fin Du Monde, New Jersey Beer Company Hudson Pale Ale, Unibroue Maudite, Dogfish Head 60 Minute IPA, Rogue Dead Guy Ale, Stone IPA, and Victory Whirlwind Witbier. (The beers available are subject to change.)

3. Looking for a cool summer job? You might want to circle Saturday, Mar. 19 on your calendar, when the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel hosts their annual Job Fair at the venue's main plaza. ARAMARK will be hiring for concession stands and the arts center will be looking for ticket takers and parking lot attendants.

4. Know of any historic buildings in Manalapan or Englishtown that you think are worthy of recognition? The Monmouth County Historical Commission is accepting nominations for its annual preservation awards program. Any structure, including office buildings, houses of worship, public buildings and homes, that is over 50 years old, has historic value, and has undergone preservation work in 2010 is eligible for the award.

Visit Monmouth County’s Web site for entry information and an application. Completed applications should be mailed to Monmouth County Historical Commission, Hall of Records Annex, 2nd floor, Freehold, NJ 07728 by Friday, April 1.
