Free Manalapan Rabies Clinic Set for November

Dogs and cats over six months of age must be vaccinated against rabies.

Manalapan Township dog and cat owners are welcome to attend a free rabies clinic on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Manalapan Recreation Center between 9 a.m. and noon.

The free clinic, sponsored by the Manalapan Health Department, will take place at the Kuschick Pavilion within the Recreation Center on Route 522. All dogs and cats over six months must be vaccinated against rabies.

Rabies is a viral disease that causes brain inflammation and can be easily transmitted from one species to another, mostly by a bite of an infected animal.Rabies in humans is consistently fatal, which is why the vaccinations of Manalapan’s pets is of the utmost importance!

All dogs must be on a leash and all cats must be confined to carriers. This is the one-time exception when pets will be allowed within the Manalapan Recreation Center. Please contact the Manalapan Health Department at 732-446-8345 if you have any questions.
