Freehold No Longer Responsible for Sweeping Manalapan Street

Although snow hasn’t appeared much this year, the Freehold Council is preparing for it. At the Dec. 27 Meeting, a resolution was passed that eliminates Township’s responsibility to provide street sweeping services to Dancer Lane in . 

Manalapan Township and Freehold Township originally entered into a Shared Services Agreement in Nov. 2001. Through that agreement, Manalapan Township agreed to provide snow control services to parts of Freehold Township, in exchange for Freehold Township’s services to certain parts of Manalapan. 

Originally under the Shared Services Agreement, Dancer Lane in Manalapan Township was Freehold’s responsibility.

With the newly passed resolution, Freehold Township is no longer required to provide snow control services to Dancer Lane, but is still responsible for a portion of Equinox Lane, the first intersection of Summer Drive and Gravel Hill Road from Route 537 up to the intersection of Cozy Lane.
