Christie Blasts Obamacare, Calls It a 'Train Wreck'

The New Jersey governor said President Obama didn't tell the truth when pushing to get the law passed.

Gov. Chris Christie has fallen in line with President Barack Obama on a few issues, but the Affordable Care Act is clearly not one of them

The governor blasted the law, calling it a "disaster" and "train wreck" on NJ 101.5’s Ask the Governor program Monday night.

He said the law makes no sense and he's "glad the train wreck's not mine, it’s his."

New Jersey participates in the program’s federal exchange. Christie stated on the program that New Jersey didn’t set up a state exchange because he claims the state would take on the full burden of the program without being able to control it.

He went on to state that the president lied when pushing to get the law passed.

"He should have told the truth from the beginning, but if he had, it wouldn’t have passed," he said on the program.

Christie has been criticized by members of his own party in the past for working closely with Obama after Sandy hit New Jersey, and for taking federal aid to help with the recovery.

His name has famously been mentioned in connection with a possible 2016 presidential run.
