Green and Ptasiewicz Run Uncontested in Manalapan June Primary

Manalapan Committeeman Ryan Green’s term is expiring December 2012 and he has officially filed to run for re-election. The race won’t be uncontested, however, as Manalapan Township Clerk Regina Preteroti said that Democrat has also submitted a petition for the single available seat on the Township Committee in the 2012 Election.

Currently the Manalapan Township Committee is wholly Republican and Ptasiewicz is running on a Democratic ticket. In the 2011 election, Ptasiewicz shared the Democratic ticket with Michelle Roth, the previous Democratic incumbent. .

Green has sat on the Township Committee for three years and was chosen Deputy Mayor for 2011. Ptasiewicz is a practicing attorney in the fields of labor and employment law with no previous political experience.

Neither Green nor Ptasiewicz have opponents to face in the June Primary Election.
