The official ceremony was held on January 2 during the reorganization meeting for the Monmouth County Board of Chosen Freeholders at Biotech High School in Freehold. With his family in attendance Golden was sworn in by his predecessor and current Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno.

Golden said as he starts his second term he looks forward to the future with a department that has more than 600 officers in three divisions and is moving into a new home. “I look forward to continuing to serve all who live, work or visit this great county in an efficient and effective manner for another three years.”
