Manalapan Committeeman Andrew Lucas Resigns

Manalapan Township Committeeman Andrew Lucas has resigned from his position, according to a press release issued by the Township Committee Monday morning. Lucas has served on the Township Committee for eight years. 

The reason for the resignation was not provided by the Township Committee and Lucas has not responded to Patch for comment. 

Stephen McEnery, the Republican Municipal Chairperson, will soon be calling a meeting of the Manalapan's County Committee to select a new Committee person to fill the vacant seat, the release said. 

Lucas' term was set to expire in December.
