Manalapan to Hold Special Town Hall Meeting on Emergency Preparedness

The special meeting will take place on Sept. 17.

Manalapan Township Committeeman Ryan Green has announced that a special Town Hall meeting addressing emergency preparedness will take place on Tuesday, Sept. 17 in the auditorium of the Manalapan-Englishtown Middle School at 8 p.m.

“The lessons of Hurricane Irene and Superstorm Sandy have not been forgotten by the Township Committee: we have been working diligently to find new ways to help you and your family during an emergency, and that’s what we’ll be talking about at this meeting,” Green stated in a press release.

The town hall meeting will cover Manalapan’s emergency management plans, including new ways the Township will communicate with residents during and after an emergency. Tips for how residents can be better prepared for major weather events will also be provided, according to the release.
