NJ Recreation and Parks Association Honors Manalapan Employees

Joan Edelman and Alice Costanzo, of Manalapan Parks and Recreation, were named Employees of the Year by the NJRPA.

Two Manalapan Parks and Recreation employees have been named Employees of the Year by the New Jersey Recreation and Parks Association (NJRPA) for 2012. Joan Edelman and Alice Costanzo were recognized by the Manalapan Township Committee with an official proclamation for their NJRPA honor last week.

Edelman and Costanzo both began working for Manalapan Parks and Recreation in 1988. Their “dedicated interest and devotion to [their] job have had a valuable effect of efficiency and morals on the Manalapan Parks and Recreation Department,” Manalapan Mayor Susan Cohen said of both Edelman and Costanzo in their respective proclamations.

All award recipients must excel in recreation leadership, recreation therapy, park maintenance, conservation management, or clerical competence. Those nominated must also be a registered supervisor, or below, with an NJRPA member agency.
