Signs are already in place to indicate shoulder closures, milling and paving for the $37.6 million project will be done overnight.

Work in Marlboro will stretch to Symmes Road in Manalapan, mainline paving work will begin on the southbound side of Route 9 in the township. During commuter hours, all lanes are planned to remain open. Overnight, there will be single and double lane closures in certain areas.

Work schedules on the road will be dependent on weather conditions. Travelers are encouraged to check www.511nj.org for real-time travel information.

The Department of Transportation is working with NJ Transit to maintain commuter schedules.
