Seven Candidates Run for Three Spots on K-8 School Board

Six people will be running with incumbent Brian Graime for a position on the MERS board; no one filed to run against Elizabeth Canario for Englishtown on the high school board.

Seven candidates will be competing for three full term positions on the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education this November to represent Manalapan. Board of Education candidates had until Tuesday to file for their petitions to be on the ballot.

The terms of Brian Graime, James Mumolie, and Diane Bindler are up at the end of the year and Graime is the only incumbent to throw his hat in the race for re-election.

The one seat on the Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education representing Englishtown Borough is not up for grabs as Lori Semel won re-election for that position last year.

Elizabeth Canario has filed to run for the Englishtown representative on the Freehold Regional High School District Board of Education as her current term on the Board is up this year. No one else has filed to run against her. Last year, Jennifer Sutera won re-election as the Manalapan Township representative on the Board.
