VIDEO: Local Leaders Comment on ‘Manalapan Under the Stars’
Provided an overview of the annual event, also known as Manalapan Day, which drew thousands despite the lack of sunshine.
This video features commentary from Monmouth County Freeholder Amy Mallet, Manalapan Mayor Andrew Lucas, Township Committeeman Don Holland, Committeeman Jordan Maskowtiz, and Committeewoman Michelle Roth.
Manalapan Day, which was held at the Manalapan Recreation Center on Sunday, June 12 from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., featured rides, food, and live entertainment. Gary Puckett and the Union Gap headlined the event, while a local dance team from Englishtown, Iconic Boyz, drew thousands of their own fans in a surprise turnout.
Unfortunately, due to low clouds, the fireworks finale was postponed. Lucas and Maskowitz both confirmed that the fireworks will be rescheduled for some point during the summer concert series, either in July or August. When they have an exact date, they will notify the public.

The officials also took a moment to thank all the local volunteers who made the day possible, especially the co-chairs of the Manalapan Heritage Committee, Barbara Miller and Hank Grassi, who organized the event.
