Clark Mills School Highlights from December

Students learned how to call 9-1-1, donated to those in need, wrote letters to U.S. soldiers abroad, and displayed spirit during "Spirit Week"!

The following highlights are submitted by Irene Policastro, the Secretary to Superintendent John J. Marciante of the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District.

First Grade Assembly Program

Representatives from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office visited to teach our first graders “when and how” to use 9-1-1. Our first grade students thoroughly enjoyed the video, the live demonstration of a 9-1-1 call, and the coloring book that they received. We were very fortunate to have such an important program presented to our first graders.

The Giving Tree

Staff and students participated in the Clark Mills School Giving Tree Program once again this year. The winter holidays are a very special time of year and there are families within our community who need assistance during this time. I would like to sincerely thank all the Clark Mills families who agreed to participate in our Giving Tree Program and sent in gifts for children in need. It was such a pleasure conversing with our students each morning as they dropped off gifts for others and got to experience the joy of “giving” during this holiday season.

Letters to the Troops

During this holiday season, many of the Clark Mills students wrote letters to the soldiers to show the troops their support and appreciation for all that they do for our country!

Clark Mills Has Spirit

The year’s Spirit Week at Clark Mills School was a blast for all! Our Student Council
members met and selected Sports Day, Celebrity Day, 60s Day, Class Selected Day, and School Colors Day. Each class created a flag, which was tied into our Character
Education program. Both students and staff enjoyed getting creative with the flags and the enthusiasm generated by Spirit Week was remarkable!
