Dinosaur Day

As one of the culminating activities to the unit on dinosaurs, second grade students took part in Dinosaur Day. They played Dino Math Tracks and Dinosaur Jeopardy to test their dinosaur knowledge. They also built trioramas, designed dinosaur t-shirts, and participated in a Paleontologist Dig. The second grade teachers created a wonderful learning experience for their students. As far as the children were concerned, the entire day was “dino-mite”

All the Clark Mills students enjoyed participating in field day activities, ice cream treats, and in the Great American Game Show. Special thanks to Mrs. Gent, Mrs. Douglas, Mrs. Byrnes, the Spirit Committee, and our specials teachers for all of their hard work organizing and coordinating the day. A BIG thank you to all of our parent volunteers for providing much needed assistance throughout the day!

Art, Choir, Band and Orchestra...oh my

The Clark Mills chorus show, This is America presented on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 was outstanding! The students sang beautifully and the special choreography was fun for everyone as well! We were all very impressed with how our talented fourth and fifth graders successfully performed. What an amazing experience for our students. Congratulations to Mrs. Chan, our music teacher, for an outstanding job!

The band and orchestra performance was delightful! Under the direction of Ms. Cohen and Mr. Muhler, the band and orchestra students showcased their talents and shared some of their favorite pieces during an assembly program and at an evening performance at MEMS. This was an experience the students will always remember!

Mr. Nortman, our art teacher, showcased some of the students’ exceptional modern artwork during the evening of May 29, 2012. Parents, special guests and a local Boy Scout Troop attended this wonderful event! Much thanks to our wonderful art teacher!
