Manalapan-Englishtown Teachers Get Tentative Contract

The Board of Education and the Teacher's Union approved a tentative contract Thursday night.

After hours of negotiation during the night of Thursday, Dec. 13, the Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education and the Teacher's Union were able to approve a memorandum of agreement, Board Secretary and Business Administrator Veronica Wolf said.

Over 400 of the district's teachers were outside of the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Administration Building in Englishtown Thursday night rallying while their representatives negotiated with the Board in front of a New Jersey super-conciliator, NJ.com reported.

The teachers have been working for the past 16-months with an expired contract.
