Manalapan HS Principal Replaced While Under Administrative Investigation

Principal Jeff Simon has been replaced by FRHSD Human Resources Administrative Supervisor Jennifer Sharp.

Principal Jeff Simon has been replaced today due to an ongoing administrative investgation regarding assorted school matters which do not involve students, according to a press release issued by Communications and District Projects Coordinator Nakell Williams.

The Freehold Regional High School District made these administrative changes "in the interest of the students," the release said.

Jennifer Sharp, the Human Resources Administrative Supervisor will serve as Acting Principal in Simon's place, and Adam Angelozzi will replace Manalapan High School Assistant Principal Thomas Gallahue, who has been temporarily assigned the Assistant Principal position at Freehold Township High School.

Originally, both Gallahue and Angelozzi were Assistant Principals at Manalapan High School and Freehold Township High School, respectively. This administrative change has them switching positions.

The release said that parents and guardians will be notified in writing about this administrative reorganization, which will verify that no disruption to the operations of the schools will occur.

Thomas Gallahue has declined to comment on the administrative reorganization  and referred all questions to Williams.

"The changes were necessary as a result of the investigation that's pending," Williams said. She went on to confirm that Simon is on a paid administrative leave from the district and, therefore, the administrative changes were made as a result.

Williams is not aware of the details of the investigation, but said that the investigation is ongoing and no additional information can be provided to the public.

I have two children curently in MHS and one who graduated two years ago. I find it interesting that some people on this board are able to express an opinion either in favor or against Mr. Simon without knowing the facts. When the reasons for his dismissal are published, we will be able to determine whether its a deserved fate or a witch hunt. Untik then, I sugest everyone relax.

I don't think there would be a full investigation on Jeff Simon if it weren't warranted. I know they did their investigating before the arrest....... why waste people's taxpayers money and give a horrible name to Manalapan.... Jeff Simon's arrest WAS warranted Go get a job
