On a personal note, I was very touched with the establishment of the Herbert Arbeitman Excellence Award. This a a permanent award given to the outstanding wrestler in our program. Each year a name will be added to the trophy. This year’s recipient was Ronny Ghaida. This award was established by the wrestling coaching staff and the staff of the Marlboro Middle School. It has been an honor to have served as your athletic director.
Four MEMS athletes will be honored at Monmouth University’s Tribute to Girls and Women in Sports event on Saturday, March 2 at the Monmouth University/Wagner College Women’s Basketball game.

On Feb. 20, the select jazz band, percussion ensemble and steel pan groups performed for the Select Ensemble Concert. The concert was well attended and the students performed exceptionally well.
