Mumolie Elected President of Manalapan-Englishtown Board of Education

Dotty Porcaro was elected Vice President.

Manalapan-Englishtown Regional School District Board of Education member James Mumolie was appointed President of the Board for 2013 at last night’s reorganization meeting at Pine Brook School.

Mumolie is a local attorney who has served on the Board of Education for thirteen years. He has served as President of the Board in 2002 and 2003.

Dotty Porcaro was named Vice President of the Board for 2013. Porcaro previously served the Board of Education for five years prior to rejoining the Board in 2011.

Two incumbents were also sworn back into office last night after winning their positions in the November school board election. Lori Semel reclaimed her seat as the sole representative from Englishtown Borough and Annamarie Galante, who has been on the Board since 2009, returned to the dais.

Newly elected Joanne Schecter was also sworn in to office last night, filling the vacant seat left by Joseph DePasquale, whose term expired in 2012. DePasquale did not run for reelection in November.

All newly elected Board Members will be serving three year terms. Diane Bindler, Brian Graime, and James Mumolie’s terms will all expire at the end of 2013.
