The greenhouse is almost ready to go for students to begin working in their prior to the end of the school year. All students beginning next year will have an opportunity to work in the greenhouse and also join our after school garden club. All harvested crops will be donated to local charities.

MEMS Orientations

All Pine Brook students and their parents were treated to evening orientations of MEMS by the MEMS administration and staff. After returning the next day, wearing their MEMS attire, many Pine Brook students commented on how “big” MEMS is and how excited they are to start middle school.

Pine Brook Orientations

All incoming 6th grade students from the five 1-5 schools were bussed to Pine Brook with their teachers for a student orientation. Two evenings were set aside for parents to come to Pine Brook and experience the same orientation. The orientation consisted of a PowerPoint with a movie created by Pine Brook students where they interviewed incoming students and then answered their questions. After the PowerPoint, all students and parents were taken on a tour of the building compliments of our student council and other student volunteers. At the evening orientations, under the direction of Mr. Rusin, the Jazz Band treated parents to a short concert prior to the start of the orientation.

Birds of Prey Assembly

Compliments of the PTA, the students were all treated to an awe inspiring and very informative assembly given by Jonathon Wood of The Raptor Project. Bald eagles, owls, and raptors all delighted the audience and some even flew throughout the All Purpose Room.

Band/Orchestra Concerts

The Pine Brook Band and Orchestra performed for the enjoyment of their parents, families, and friends during their annual Spring Concert. “We Will Rock You,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” “Anyway You Want It,” and “ROCK in the USA” were just some of the many high energy songs performed by the two groups.
