Wemrock Brook School Donates Thanksgiving Meals

Fifty boxes of food were collected for local charities and the Samaritan Center.

The students of Wemrock Brook School have donated the ingredients for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to local families in need.

Every class in the school collected all components of the Thanksgiving meal, from stuffing, to cranberry sauce, to coffee, over the course of November, according to Wemrock Brook School Assistant Principal Matthew Kriley who organized the fundraiser.

Each class collected about three of each item and the Wemrock Brook School teachers and staff collected turkeys and pies. Fifty boxes of food and 20 turkeys were donated to the Samaritan Center, a local food pantry, and other local charities, Kriley said.
