Elite Fitness in Manalapan to Become WoW Work Out World

WoW Work Out World is expect to assume operations at the facility by the end of November.

The Elite Fitness on Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan will officially become a WoW Work Out World, WoW announced on Wednesday. The owners of WoW Work Out World, the Roma family, signed an agreement to purchase the assets of Elite Fitness and the transaction is expected to close by the end of the month.
When the deal is settled, WoW will take ownership of the location and begin operations at their twelfth location in New Jersey, according to the press release.

“We have a company mission of 'keeping Jersey strong'", CEO Steve Roma Sr. said. "This was a natural acquisition for us because it connects very well with other WoW locations surrounding it in Freehold, Marlboro and East Brunswick."

Once WoW takes ownership of the location, the space will undergo a complete renovation in order to provide what other WoW locations have to offer.

"We continue to deliver on our 'keeping Jersey strong' mission by bringing WoW to more towns of New Jersey and providing a best in class health club, group training, small group training, semi-private training and personal training experience at a tremendous value,” Roma said.

WoW Work Out World was founded in 1992 and now has nearly 80,000 members. For further information for current WoW members and current Elite Fitness members, click here

Elite Fitness, soon to be the new WoW Work Out World, is located at 300 Gordons Corner Road in Manalapan Township.

My husband and I have been long time members of Elite. I remember the property being Acme. First, I only hope the staff stay or the WOW staff is as nice as Elite. The caretakers to the maintenance folk are all nice. However, I'm looking forward to a make over. The equipment is not well maintained. Elite did replace some cardio equipment but some machines are not well maintained. The pull down station belts need to be continually checked. No matter what company stays or takes over there needs to be an upkeep if the place. Maybe the juice bar will be more conducive. Ugh, so many changes there it drove me nuts! A make over now and then is important.

Its going to be awesome having a real martial arts school like Modern Martial Arts just down the block from metro. I can drop off my teens and pick them up after my work out. Finally get them out and off the PC. metro will be nice. Not many good instructors at Elite to begin with but maybe they are gonna make them less snooty and actually work. They were very very lax not coming in on time and not dependable from what I remember when I took the classes.i make it a point to try it all sometimes twice!
