Baseball Highlights Holiday as Labor Day Classic Enters Final Day

The Manalapan Baseball and Softball Association's Labor Day Classic concludes today, the sixth and final day of the amateur baseball tournament. More than 125 games have been played during the pool play portion of the event which began on Wednesday.  Monday will feature dozens of playoff games across six age groups.   

Here are the top performers for each division.

In the 10U group, Gallagher Baseball 2 and the Marlboro Mustangs Gold finished pool play with an unblemished mark of 3-0.  NY Dynasty also went undefeated with a record of 2-0-1.

The Howell South Indians and Manalapan Outlaws were the standouts of the 11U 40/60 division, both finishing with a perfect 3-0 record.

The Staten Island Rebels and Brooklyn Blue Storm Thunder topped their respective pools in the 11U 50/70 division with 2-0-1 marks.

The Jersey Shore A's and Jersey Boyz were a perfect 3-0 in the 12U division.  The Matawan Huskies and Howell Hitmen both went undefeated with a record of 2-0-1.

The 13U group saw the most parody with each participant accumulating atleast one loss.  Jersey Shore Baseball, Marlboro Mustangs Gold, Freehold Falcons, Langan Baseball, Old Bridge Lightning and the Lincroft Knights each finished pool play with a 2-1 record.

In the 14U division, Manalapan Select, Gallacher Baseball, Howell South Titans, and the Old Bridge Lightning topped their respective pools with 3-0 marks.

The Hamilton A's and and Central Jersey Stallions swept doubleheaders on Sunday to finish undefeated at 3-0 in the 15U division.
