Labor Day Classic: Sunday Morning Results
A busy week of baseball continued Sunday with a full slate of games
The Manalapan Baseball and Softball Association's Labor Day Classic resumed on Sunday. Nearly eighty baseball games have been played over the tournament's first four days, with a total of fifty scheduled on Sunday. The is home for most of the action.
Here are some of Sunday's early results.
The Newark-North Ward Center defeated the Marlboro Mustangs White 7-4, while the Howell South Indians topped 5-Tool Baseball 5-4 in the 11U 40/60 division. The Indians finished pool play undefeated at 3-0.

In the 12U group, the Monroe Falcons Gold split a doubleheader, beating the Tigers 15-4 then falling to the Howell Hitmen 12-1. The Tigers and Hitmen met at 1 p.m. yesterday.
The Around the Horn Academy bested the Manalapan Magic 10-6 in the 13U pool. The victor attempted to improve to 2-1 when they face off against the Old Bridge Lightning at 6 p.m yesterday.

In the 14U division, the Manalapan ThunderCats fell to MC Baseball 13-9 and looked to rebound at 3:30 yesterday versus the Manalapan Cyclones. Both teams are searching for their first victory.
The Hamilton A's improved to 2-0 with an early morning 10-0 shutout over the Central Jersey Tigers. The Tigers looked for their first win at 8:30 p.m. when they face off against the Toms River Black Sox.
The Labor Day Classic concludes on Labor Day with single elimination playoff games for each age group.
