Improve Your Tennis Game this Summer with Parks and Rec Programs

Registration for Manalapan Parks and Recreation Summer Youth and Adult Tennis Programs begins Tuesday, June 5 at 9 a.m. All classes will meet twice a week at the Tennis Courts. Participants must supply their own racquet.

2012 Summer Youth Tennis Instructional Programs

All children must be residents of Manalapan Township.

There are two sessions to choose from:

Session 1: July 2-July 19 (make up week July 23-26)
Session 2:  July 30 - Aug. 16 (make up week Aug. 20-23)

Youth classes are broken down by age and experience. All children must be the correct age for each program at the start of the session.

Pee-Wee/Novice
Children ages 5-7
Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 p.m. − 4:55 p.m.
Cost: $60

Beginner
Ages 7 and older (children age are required to have past tennis experience)
Participants will be separated based on skill level
Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5 p.m. − 5:55 p.m.
Cost: $60

Advanced Beginner/ Intermediate Instruction with Play
Ages 8 and older. Previous lessons required.
Instruction based on skill level; more play to build skills
Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 5 p.m. − 6:25 p.m.
Cost: $85

Youth Instructional Competitive League
Ages 10 and older. The ability to serve and play points is required.
Classes meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 p.m. − 7:25 p.m.
Cost: $85

Prepare for Team
All participants must have had previous lessons
Learn more than the basics, help prepare you to join the team.
Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 4 p.m. − 4:55 p.m.
Cost: $60
 

2012 Summer Adult Tennis Instructional Programs

There is one session available from July 2 - Aug. 9 (make up week Aug. 13-16). Classes will meet once a week for six weeks. 

Beginner with Play
Learn fundamental strokes and how to play, the final 30 minutes will be play with instruction.
Classes meet Tuesdays from 10:30a.m. − 11:55 a.m.
Cost: $85 for residents, $125 for non-residents.

Advanced Beginner Instruction with Play
Improve skills on basic strokes, some instruction on advanced shots.
Final 30 minutes is play with instruction.
Classes meet Tuesday from 9 a.m. − 10:25 a.m.
Cost: $85 for residents, $125 for non-residents.

Intermediate/Advanced Instruction with Play
Help with advanced shots and longer play to advance skills
Classes meet Thursdays from 9 a.m. − 10:55 a.m.
Cost: $110 for residents, $150 for non-residents.

Evening Adult Instruction
Basic tennis skills
Classes meet Mondays from 6:30 p.m. − 7:55 p.m.
Cost: $85 for residents, $125 for non-residents.

Adult Competitive League
Come out and enjoy some friendly competition
Meets Wednesdays from 6:30 p.m. − 7:55 p.m.
Cost: $60 for residents, $90 for non-residents.
